A number of years ago I published a book online. I wasn’t sure how to go about selling it, so I began to learn the trade of online selling.

Before long I was running two web pages, newsletters, blogs, affiliate marketing schemes, email marketing etc.

The whole thing grew arms and legs. I began to struggle under the mountain of apps and software and logins for things like my email marketing, plugins, and everything else associated with keeping on top of an expanding workload.

I always thought it would be great if there was a single platform where I could run all the associated tasks quickly and easily.

That is exactly what pertains to do. In this article we set out to explore just what is and how it works. And of course, if it delivers on its promises.

What is is like a multitool for online businesses, hence the name "Systeme." It has all the tools you could ever need to run an online business all housed in one piece of software with one subscription fee. With Systeme you can build: fully functional sites and blogs, sales funnels, courses, webinars, eCommerce, and even email marketing.

We will break down what it is capable of later in the article, for the moment here is a brief summary of the key features included in

  • Email marketing: has a clever and feature rich email marketing tool.
  • Blog: A blog tool allows you to create your own blog without using third party software.
  • Courses and membership: Online courses are huge business, has functions to help run the course and manage membership
  • Sales Funnels: Easily create eye-catching sales or opt-in pages.
  • Contact Management: has a complete contact management system tool

  • Webinars: Webinars are becoming a huge method of generating online income, does this too!
  • Payment: The crux of any online business is getting paid, can manage this for you.
  • Affiliate Management: Always a burden on your time, does this and with a unique twist that will be covered later in the article.
  • Automation: A high level of automation is a great feature with
These are only some of the features that can perform. As said earlier, it really is a multitool for all types of online businesses. But does it really perform?

One potential problem I thought might hinder this platform relates back to the old adage, “Jack of all trades, master of none.” It was one of my concerns and so I took advantage of the free trial period to test this before I made the decision to subscribe or not.

Bit of a spoiler alert, while it isn’t without the occasional niggle (what is?) It really is the master of many trades.

How does work?

It is obviously a web-based platform. First, you need to create an account, if you want to try it without risk, there is a no credit card required 14-day free trial period. It is a cloud-based system, so there is no need for any downloads or install any software.

  1. You will need to supply any relevant details that you want to include in your integration. Like existing affiliation schemes, payment details etc.
  2. Overall, the sign-up and initial setup is easy, once you have created your account and logged in you are presented with the system dashboard.
  3. You are now ready to go to work. Getting started is simple, let's say you want to build a Sales Funnel, with a Landing Page, with Email Marketing Automation, and on top of that, accept payments:

1 Create a Funnel

This is where the magic begins, your funnel is where you sell your product or service. Simply choose the type of funnel and click create, there are templates to choose from for each funnel and a step by step procedure that walks you through the process.

2 Design your Page(s)

Amend the template to include your own content (or set up your page from scratch with the integrated editor).

3 Create Followup Actions

This step lets you customize what actions to take upon someone interacting with your sales funnel. For instance, if they sign up for a course, send them a welcome email and a link to the relevant course material.

Or add a tag to trigger an email welcoming to a newsletter signup. It’s here that your first interaction with the customer is made, so it is important to get this step right. makes this simple, but always test all your steps.

4 Add a Payment Method

Here you link your PayPal or Stripe account to your account and that’s it you’re ready to take the final step.

5 Start Earning

Now it’s a case of attracting customers to your site. can help with this too, but really you need to put some time and effort into this too! One great method that works from within is to start a regular blog. This is a proven marketing tool and has SEO tools integrated into its blog feature that will help attract an audience quickly.

Other popular methods are sharing on Social Media, running some adverts, through an affiliate scheme, webinars and email campaigns.

Next, we will have an in-depth look at the features and workings of

Features of

As we mentioned the first page you see when you logon is your system dashboard. This is the first feature we will look at. Dashboard

This dashboard gives you a summary of your statistics. The summary consists of three blocks of information. \
The first block tells you how many new contacts have been added in the last 31 days. This is the default period and can be changed to suit the user’s preferences.

The second block displays information about the number and totals of payments received in the same period. Once again this is adjustable to suit.
The third block combines this into an overall picture of your business, including new business, new prospects, and the sales values.
This opening page is a neatly put together, clear, and concise overall picture of the state of play with your business.

Sales Funnels

The sales funnels feature lets you build your funnels using four different types of sales funnel.

  1. Build Your Audience: This feature lets you create a thank you and capture pages.
  2. Sell Your Products: Using this funnel, you can create a sales page or order page and a payment page.
  3. Webinar: Here you can prerecord an automatic webinar.
  4. Custom Funnel: This is a nice piece of flexibility, if none of the above fit your model, then you can create a custom funnel to suit.

Setting up a funnel is easy and once you select your option there is a large option of templates to select from to suit whatever funnel type you have chosen.

These can then be tied up to thank you emails or existing newsletters or email campaigns using the inbuilt workflow editor.

Email Marketing

This is one of the most crucial tools for a web-business. In order for any platform to survive, never mind an all-in-one platform, it has to do this function well. does it as well as any other platforms I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a few) and does it better than many of them.

The campaign manager is straightforward to use and is nicely laid out. It has all the functions you’d expect. The text editor is nice and simple and allows you to quickly compose eye-catching emails.

One great feature of having everything integrated was to be able to set up emails in response to triggers like, newsletter or course sign ups, or any signup originating from your sales funnel pages. All without using third party plugins or logging into multiple platforms.

For me, this function was always going to be a make or break feature of the software, and I’m pleased to report that it is an excellent feature.

It’s ability to work with and grow high-traffic blogs is another field where this platform needs to excel. Blogging has become one of the most effective ways of growing an online business and any all-in-one platform worth its salt, will need to get this right.

I always found the technicalities of blogging, not difficult, but tiresome. WordPress is not the easiest platform to use, then there is setting up domains etc.

If you have an existing blog then this can be integrated, but if you’re starting out as a blogger then honestly, this takes away a whole lot of pain. has all the functionality and features to allow you to set up an eye-catching blog without any need for a domain name or trying to find your way around WordPress for the first time.

One of the other great features, and this is an area often neglected, misunderstood or both is that does all your SEO work for you. I can’t overstate how essential a feature this is.

If you want your blog to be taken seriously then SEO is critical. Without getting this correct then your blog will simply never get listed in any search result pages. With this feature ensures your blog page is listed high up in the search rankings.

Courses and Membership have really pushed the boat out with this feature. You can basically set up an entire course and market it all from one platform.

Normally, this would need to be done on multi-platforms. You would require a webpage, with all the logins set to the right access levels, this would be linked to your payment section and potentially your mail marketing system. All this needs to be integrated and administered from different interfaces. sets it all out to work from within its framework:

  • From the one interface, you have access to your signup page, the payment records and the membership.
  • You can configure the membership rights and access. Deal with recurring payments and restrict access to content if payments are missed or cancelled and set up sales funnels to promote it.
  • If that wasn’t enough you can even set up the entire course using’s course building feature.
  • This allows you to create your course material with just a few clicks.
  • You start by creating and naming a course then you simply add modules and lectures as required. It really couldn’t be simpler.
  • You can add uploaded pictures, videos or other course material. Use’s custom embed feature that works with Vimeo and Wistia or link directly to YouTube or any other video online.

Basically, this feature means will have you up and running with a course, without any domain name, prior experience, mail marketing packages, or even customers initially. All you need is some knowledge to share.

Online Payment

The payment methods that uses are PayPal and Stripe. This should cover most eventualities as most customers have accounts with one or the other. Once you set up your account it is simply a matter of clicking a button to link to your own accounts and you are ready to take payments.

Now it is just a matter of creating the sellable product and bingo. You’re online and selling.

The platform can feed all your received payments into this account and give you a breakdown of the details of each payment. It can even deal with recurring payments.

Normally this side of things would involve going through a third-party which can be expensive with some charging a commission on each fee.

Welcome or thank you emails can be triggered on receipt of a payment, course material released or whatever you action you require. There is also a function to offer coupons or payment plans.

Affiliate Marketing

If you want to sell your product then affiliate marketing can be a great method. It’s like having a team of salespeople all working for you on a commission only basis.

This is easy to set up on the platform, you can adjust the percentages you pay out, and even offer a second tier for affiliates that gather their own affiliates for you.

Once again having this feature built-in saves you the expense and the hassle of having to purchase and set up separate affiliate marketing software.

Now, this is where takes a step out of the box, with their system each of your subscribers automatically receives an affiliate ID linked to your email. So straight away you have recruited a sales force. Of course, there is an option to disable this function.

You can send them the link to your appropriate sales funnel, and they can start to make themselves some commission and boost your own sales.

For affiliate payments uses TransferWise or PayPal, payouts to affiliates can be automated or manual and with just a few clicks your sales force is up and running.

Webinars are a fantastic marketing tool. Used right they can add a personal touch to your enterprise. These days that is important, there is so much anonymity online that people tend to want more than just a clever web page advertising your product.

Webinars are a fantastic method of connecting with your existing customer base and gaining new subscribers. With the tool it is easy to set up an evergreen webinar.

An evergreen webinar is basically a prerecorded webinar with relevant information that is unlikely to change. Once created it can be scheduled to run as often and whenever you like, or it can be always on if so required.

Webinars are a growing marketing method because they are so effective. They are now among the highest performing means of growing subscriber lists or generating sales.

With the steps to setting up a webinar are easy:

  1. You start by creating a new sales funnel and selecting the ‘Evergreen Webinar’ option.
  2. Then you select a template for your registration page, a thank you page and a broadcast page.
  3. If you have been hanging back on running a webinar because of having to add yet another logon and learning curve to your tech-life, then this could be a great option to start to see just how powerful a sales tool webinars can be.

Contact Management

Contact management is crucial in maintaining a healthy and growing online business. As your membership and subscriber grows, perhaps from separate threads it can be difficult to keep a tab on your contacts and their interactions with you and your products.

This is an almost impossible task when you have multiple logins to each area of your online organization. Trying to establish details like – When did they subscribe? What triggered their subscription? What did they purchase? Which emails have they opened? Can be difficult and time consuming.

These are crucial questions, watching what your contacts do and how they interact can let you know which parts of your business are working well and which need some attention.

With the information is all there at your fingertips:

  • The entire history of any contact is available with a couple of clicks.
  • This shows every interaction they’ve ever had from the sign date, the approximate location of where they signed up from (using IP Address, so this can be incorrect if they used a VPN).
  • And every purchase they have made.
  • It can even show which Newsletter or mail shot they have opened, or not as the case may be.

Of course, ploughing through lists of contacts to find the details of a contact isn’t always feasible. But there are a host of filters to narrow down your selection, so if you want to see how many subscribers you have from a particular country or town even, then it is all possible just by applying a filter.

Systemeio Affiliate Dashboard and Marketplace

These are two further dashboards that are available from a dropdown menu, we shall cover them in one heading as they are closely tied together.

The affiliate dashboard lets you see at a glance some common statistics like total leads sent, total earnings and totals of your earnings in the past week and month. There is also a graphic that shows a graph of your sales broken down into two-day periods.

Earnings by vendor is the other choice available in this dashboard. This choice gives you a list of all your affiliates and their earnings to date and details of any pending payments. There is also a dropdown menu to allow you to select individual vendors.

Slightly further down the page you have three summary boxes that give more specific information including a list of issued invoices for a selected period, payments and commission details per vendor and product. The final window shows all your recent leads.

The marketplace dashboard is just a list where you can advertise your product to attract affiliates and also sign up for any affiliation schemes that may interest you. At the time of writing there were a host of choices available including.

  • A Music Licensing book offering commission of 90% per sale, affiliate yourself to this and you earn $6.83 per sale.
  • A Facebook plugin for chrome that offered 50% commission, the figures worked out as $7.50 per month for monthly payments and $48.75 if customers paid all at once.
  • A French course that pays 50% commission that equated to a payment of at least $49.50.
  • Of course, another product you can sell is subscriptions which pay a 40% commission rate.

You can also advertise your own affiliate scheme in the market place and get those marketers working for you.

This isn’t a specific feature of the software, there isn’t a choice to select automation for instance. Automation is the whole ethos behind the software. was designed from the bottom up to automate all the processes of running an online business under one umbrella.

With all your contacts, landing pages, payment details, mailing lists, newsletters, blogs and webinars under one roof it really does make for a streamlined operation.

The automation choices are as flexible as you need them to be. Whether it is releasing course material to a new customer upon receipt of payment or sending out a welcome pack to a new subscriber it is all just a few clicks away.

The whole platform makes it easy to start from scratch and begin making money almost immediately. Pros (What I Like)

In this section we are going to have a look at some the pros of, of course there is an obvious place to start so let’s do just that:

It’s an all-in-one tool

No more logging into multiple platforms just to accomplish one task, this is the real beauty of this product. The one doubt I had was whether it could accomplish this without sacrificing the quality of the individual features. Almost without exception it does this.

If you have an existing online business, then it is easy to link your external URLs to the platform, for beginners it is as simple as setting up the right funnels to sell your product.

From that point on having all your tools and stats available in one place is a game-changer for web entrepreneurs and infopreneurs.

Systemeio is easy-to-use

This one could have gone one or another when they developed this product. I’m pleased to say that the developers have put a lot of effort into making this an intuitive and easy to use platform. If it had got this foundation wrong, then the whole point of the exercise would have been missed.

Anything you need to do is just a couple of clicks away:

  • A new landing page, done.
  • Post a blog and have it picked up by the search engines, done.
  • Make new course material available, done.

And this is where excels.

Using conventional methods to achieve and combination of tasks would involve multiple logins, learning multiple interfaces, paying multiple fees.

Then there is the time spent jumping between all these platforms and trying to get them to integrate with each other, installing plugins, creating forms etc. the list goes on.

There isn’t really a criticism that you can level at this product in this category.

It’s cost-effective

One monthly payment that won’t break the bank is all you’ll ever have to pay. If you pay for all the features that includes then you could be paying anywhere from $50 $200 dollars a month or in some instances even more.

Packages start from $27 per month and for most people this would be an adequate package to get them started, if you have to upgrade, then great that only means your online business is thriving and has grown to such an extent that you need to unlock the extra functionality of a more advanced package.

Although there is no phone support, online support is available 7-days a week from 9.00am to 8.00pm.

The support team has always been responsive, and most problems are quickly and easily resolved.

On top of that there is also a comprehensive help section available online where most of the common issues have been dealt with.

There is also an active Facebook group with over 4,500 members, in here you will find that most of the common questions have already been asked and there are plenty of solutions for most of these. Cons (What I don’t Like)

I would love to say that this is a perfect piece of software, but such a thing just doesn’t exist. Here are a couple of features I felt could be improved upon.

Webinar Funnel

This is quite restricted in its functionality; you are limited to evergreen webinars. If you are serious about webinars then this isn’t going to be the tool for you, as it has no function to host a live webinar.

In saying that, there is nothing stopping you linking a sales funnel to an existing webinar series or course.

I don’t know why, but there were no templates for the Newsletter function. This seems strange to me as it is a bit of an oversite. As the product is under constant development, I hope this is a feature they are going to add in the future.

Page Design

Okay, I get it, it’s meant to be simple.

This is a platform that aims to simplify the whole user page to sales process, but the page design feature isn’t as capable as creating a full-blown webpage from scratch using traditional methods. It needs a bit of improvement and I am sure that Systemeio is working on this. Surprisingly, a lot of platforms also have this "area to improve." Integrations

The first thing to say about the platform in this context is that it is really a system designed to negate the need for integrations.

However, there are some that are a necessity (for getting payments for example and others can add a bit more functionality. Below are some of the more common ones.

  • Pretty much all the usual suspects, the most commonly used tools for email marketing, automation, Zapier, etc.
  • PayPal: One of the most common methods of receiving and making payments.
  • Stripe: The other payment method that integrates with and uses.

You can also integrate a whole host of other tools. They only require an HTML script, so you can add tools like:

  • A chatbot
  • Social Media tools
  • Google Analytics
  • Calendars

This gives the platform some added flexibility if required.

Who is for?

If you are selling courses, doing webinars, creating sales funnels with landing pages and automations, selling online or simply blogging, is a tool you should definitively consider.

If you’re just setting up an online business, then is the perfect solution to get you started and to get your business growing. is very affordable as well.

For existing web businesses that want to simplify their administration and streamline your operation then this is also ideal.

In a nutshell, anyone who runs any sort of small to medium online businesses would find this a great tool.

Is it easy to use?

By the very nature of the business, it can get complicated to run a web business. So, any tool that simplifies this is got to be a good thing. is not only easy to use, but it achieves this without the loss of functionality.

Compared to having to work across multi-platforms, is very simple.

Is any good?

Yes, it does exactly what it was designed to do and it does it very well. The features will be enough to suit most circumstances and taken into account the cost saving benefits and the ease of use the conclusion can only be that this is a fantastic service.

How much does cost?

There are three different price structures which offer different features and limits.

  • Startup Package: This is the entry level package, and it costs $27 per month.
  • Webinar: This midlevel package has added subscriber limits and an increased limit of 3 webinars as opposed to one only in the startup package.
  • Enterprise: This is the top package and it costs $97 per month.

Standard Plan vs. Upgrades

For most startups the standard package will get them going. With this package you can have a webinar, 3 member sites and up to 5,000 contacts.

The next level up is the webinar package. It has an increase to 10,000 contacts, up to 5 member sites and 3 webinars. It also includes 2 personalized domains.

The top package is the Enterprise plan. This has a limit of 15,000 contacts, has unlimited webinars and member sites and 5 personalized domains.

Benefits of Pro version

This is down to the size of your operation and the scope of its business. Obviously if you start by importing an existing contact list that numbers more than 5,000 then these are the plans for you.

Or if you have plans to run more than one webinar and have a host of products to sell, then the limits on the standard package are going to mean it doesn’t fit your needs.

How to integrate with WordPress?

You can integrate forms and popup windows into existing WordPress sites. Simply by copying and pasting the scripts (a handy button is included in for this) and then pasting it into your WordPress page. Either by using a plugin like “Insert Headers and Footers” you can add your popup to the header of your WordPress page.

In the case of a form you paste the code into the widget section on your WordPress site.

Are there any Alternatives?

There are a few robust alternatives, some have been around for a long time. All the platforms listed below are alternatives, they comprised on all-in-one platforms that help you build websites, landing pages, email marketing, sales funnels, webinars and eCommerce. Here they are: vs. GrooveFunnels, which is better?

GrooveFunnels is a newcomer to the game, we are talking about 2020 here. As I am writing those lines, GrooveFunnels is launched, but it is still being developed. GrooveFunnels is more than a "Funnel software."

We say that is an "all-in-one" software, well, GrooveFunnels is an "16-in-1" as it offers GroovePages, GrooveMail, GrooveWebinar, GrooveSocial (for Social Proof pop-ups,) etc. There was a lot of hype at the launch of the GrooveFunnels suite. Why? Because they had a life-time offer and the software are built by the same team that built Kartra, WebinarJam and EverWebinar.

We reviewed some of the tools: vs. Builderall, which is better?

Builderall is another relatively new software on the market. It is a great alternative to In terms of pricing, if you are just beginning, may be a better alternative... but we have to admit that Builderall is also a good tool that will cover most of your online business' needs. vs. ClickFunnels, which is better?

ClickFunnels is THE funnels tool for people who focus on selling products, services or doing affiliates marketing.

The tool is laser-focused on funnels. It is a little bit pricey for beginners. It is not the most flexible tool out there, and you have to pay for video hosting separately, but their system is used by many many people out there. is a bit more polyvalent, meaning you can do more things with it than with ClickFunnels (e.g., blogging, dropshipping, etc.) Both are great, but as I said, ClickFunnels is focused on funnels. vs. Kajabi, which is better?

Kajabi is a great software, and I have to admit, the User Experience and the design are amazing. It comes at a price though, and if you are just beginning, may be a better option. Nonetheless, you should have a look at Kajabi is you have the budget. vs. Kartra, which is better?

Kartra is developed by the same company that build EverWebinar and WebinarJam. The family of software is well-known in the market. I have attended plenty of webinars and online courses made with the tools.

As you need to pay for the tools separately, if you are just beginning, may be a better solution for you. If you are doing a lot of sales and handle a lot of traffic, the Kartra/EverWebinar/WebinarJam may be a good solution.

I have questions about that aren’t listed here. How do I ask?

You can reach out to Contact Page or have a look at their Facebook page here.
